I’m a Wilson in northeast Alabama – descendant of 1st Families of Tennessee “Wilsons.” Our genealogy research reveals property in Washington County, neighbors of the Crocketts who named a son after our family “WIlson Crockett.” My daughter recently purchased a farm in Washington County and I would love to see how close it is to the original Wilson property. Hope I can attend one of your meetings.

  2. I am researching the Looney family. William and Betsy Looney lived in this area around 1830-1850. One of their children was Edward Looney. William died around 1843. The children were in an orphanage for a while. Is there any info on this family. Betsy West, William,s wife, had her family possibly still living in the area. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Emily Looney Burr
